The NTTI/Belgian Space Technology Platform (BSTTP) is a consortium of four entities (SIRRIS, CSL, HB and CREACTION as coordinator) appointed by ESA TTPO to implement the space technology transfer programme in Belgium. The consortium has just published an open call inviting organizations from both the space and non-space sectors as well as individuals to submit proposals for carrying out a feasibility study into the possible transfer of a technology from a donor in the space sector to a recipient in a non-space sector.
This kind of demonstrator project seeks to identify the opportunities and limitations, as well as the technical barriers and methods of overcoming them, when adapting or integrating a space technology into a non-space application. Priority is given to projects which have a clear, ground-based commercial application and/or a defined user or customer.
A total of 30 K euros per project is allocated (x 3 projects) and the BSTTP’s members are available, under confidentiality arrangements, to prepare the project proposal and to follow up on the results. Either the donor or the recipient company must be based in Belgium. For further information, contact Jean-Paul Henry, Managing Director of Créaction, at info@bsttp.be
